Located in beautiful Northwest Georgia, Round Pond Retreat is a family campground created to serve locals and travelers alike with a place to relax, explore, and enjoy nature. Surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers and 20 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee we are perfectly located to be your home to experience all this area has to offer.
Our campground features full-service RV sites designed for easy access, a collection of unique tiny homes, and even a few tent sites. Each site has been strategically located around the famous “Round Pond”.
Growing up, camping was always our retreat. A time where we would relax and adventure out into nature. It has always been a dream to open our own campground where families could make their own memories and instill in the next generation a love for the outdoors. In 2021 those dreams became reality as we began construction on Round Pond Retreat.
The location not only has historical significance as a camping spot for soldiers during the Civil War but also was a piece of property my family always dreamed of owning and persevering. After spending the last several decades grown over and neglected the land has now been restored to its original beauty and made available for all to enjoy!
The Round Pond is a crystal-clear natural spring feed pond that locals say, “has no bottom”. This makes it the perfect summer swimming hole or the place to catch your next big bass. We have built a sandy beach access to the pond or if you are a little more adventurous try staying in our floating tiny home situated in the middle of the pond.
It is a dream come true to offer the community of Walker County and all nature lovers the opportunity to enjoy this truly remarkable piece of land.
